i’ll be here for a while

“My lyrics make my songs. My songs are my stories and they are my poetry. Throughout my life, I’ve written songs when I’ve been inspired to, whether by people in my life, difficulties I go through, or just events that spark inspiration in me. Now, as a more experienced songwriter, I take more joy in carefully crafting my songs and really analyzing what each lyric means and why it’s essential to the meaning of the song. The songs don’t just “fall out” of my imagination as much anymore, they’re more of a craft that I take the time to mold into a full song from either an idea, a single word, or a phrase."

As an artist, I strive to stay true to my moral values and provide content that is true to what I believe in. This means writing songs that impact me personally and that I feel will impact others emotionally. It also means supporting artists and music that represents truth, unity and respect. My goal is to connect with and help others through my music.”

- Nora Tirrell

Nora grew up listening to music from an early age and was always inspired by artists such as The Beatles, Paul Simon and Peter, Paul and Mary. She learned quickly she had a knack for singing and a creative mind that eventually would lead to songwriting. Her love of singing, writing and playing piano also led her to audition for her dream school, Berklee College of Music, where she was accepted in December of 2013. After graduating high school, Nora attended Berklee and earned a bachelor of arts degree in music business and songwriting in 2018. These days, Nora resides in Nashville, Tennessee where she’s continuing to work on her craft of songwriting while working with children, performing and getting involved in the music city scene as much as she can.

Some of Nora’s proudest achievements (so far) have been performing with Train at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA in August of 2014, opening for Livingston Taylor, one of her former professors at Berklee and James Taylor’s brother, in her hometown of Marblehead, MA in 2018, and most recently, singing on stage with Grammy Award-Winning artist Sara Bareilles at a private show in Grand Cayman in 2023.
